HARIRI: WHAT HAPPENED WAS MISUNDERSTANDING!
Meanwhile, the head of the Future Movement MP Saad Hariri said that what happened recently was because of a 'misunderstanding".
In a live television address, Hariri suggested that decisions taken by the unconstitutional government on Hezbollah's communications network and B.G Wafik Shqeir be freezed and refer the issue to the Lebanese army. In his suggestion to solve the "misunderstanding", Hariri also said that all armed fighters leave the streets, the election of Army Commander General Michel Suleiman and the return to the dialogue table.
AOUN: SANIORA'S GOVERNMENT RESPONSIBLE FOR DETERIORATION
For his part, the head of the Change and Reform parliamentary bloc MP Michel Aoun accused the unconstitutional government of Fouad Saniora of being responsible for the security deterioration in Beirut. He reiterated Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah's position that the problem would not be a Sunni-Shiite conflict but a national political problem. While Hariri suggested freezing Saniora's decisions and electing a president to oversee dialogue, Aoun called for calling off all these decisions and immediately shifting to dialogue. The general added that if foreign powers declared support for the "government" that would prove that this government is in fact collaborating with foreigners. "International support for the government is meaningless in the field, what counts is who can fight," Aoun said.
In the meantime, an extraordinary session for Saniora's ministerial team has ended and Defense Minister in the unconstitutional government Elias Murr headed to General Suleiman to relay Hariri's proposal.
