Hariri Revokes Decision to Suspend Talks on Gov't

07/06/2008 After days of clear obstruction to the Doha agreement for reasons pertaining to the ruling bloc, this team looks set again to re-engage in talks to form a national unity government as stipulated in the agreement. The Mustakbal (Future) party had suspended talks under the pretext of a shooting incident against one of its supporters. The party's leader MP Saad Hariri on Friday urged whom he called "all citizens in Beirut" to return to their homes, "after the Central Security Council took necessary measures" and after Hariri heard from security services that all parties are ready to implement the security part of the Doha Accord. Hariri's statement did not explain where were "all the citizens in Beirut" before the paper was issued. It also urged Mustakbal partisans to remain calm and practice "maximum self-restraint..
