Kouchner Hails Swap,Calls to Implement Resolution 1701

17/07/2008 French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner hailed the "Operation al-Radwan" completed between Hezbollah and Israel in the name of the EU presidency, held by France. Kouchner said he hopes the swap will help defuse tensions between regional parties and help the implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 1701. The French FM expressed hope resolution 1701 could help opposing sides reach a permanent peace.
