| 17/07/2008 The head of the Loyalty to the Resistance parliamentary bloc MP Mohamad Raad said Thursday that all Lebanese, irrespective of their political and sectarian differences, agree on a comprehensive national program to preserve Lebanon's unity, protect sovereignty and independence, secure internal stability and civil peace, bolster Lebanon's defense abilities, build the balanced and capable state, reject foreign interference and tutelage.
Speaking in the annual Permanent Conference for the Resistance held at the Marriott Hotel in Beirut, Raad stressed that Hezbollah is very sincere in pursuing dialogue to set the limits of the relation between the Resistance and the state that has been portrayed as problematic.
"Hezbollah didn't challenge anyone's patriotism despite the large damage this "someone" has caused for Lebanon and the Lebanese and despite the bad choices this "someone" has taken thus negatively affecting the nation's unity," Raad said during the conference which was also attended in part by Samir Kintar, Hussein Suleiman, Mohammad Srour, Maher Kourani and Khodor Zaidan who were released Wednesday from Israeli jails in the framework of Operation Al-Redwan. "However, none has the right to doubt Hezbollah's patriotism and sacrifices," Raad added.
The Hezbollah MP also noted that the resistance realizes it doesn't possess the right of waging war but, on the other hand, "none has the right to prevent it from exercising its right of defense." |
